Privacy Policy

Last updated: 8 September 2026. This isn’t legal advice — it’s a plain-English description of what we actually collect and why.

Who we are

Karmic Rebelle (karmicrebelle.com) is written and published by Hajnalka Cecilia (“we”, “us”, “our”), based in the United Kingdom. You can contact us about anything in this policy at hello@karmicrebelle.com.

What data we collect

Comments. When you leave a comment, we collect the content of your comment plus your name, email address, and website (if provided), your IP address, and browser user agent string, to help detect spam. Your email address may be checked against the Gravatar service to see if you’re using it, and if so, your profile picture will be visible to the public alongside your comment. The Gravatar service’s own privacy policy is available at automattic.com/privacy. After your comment is approved, your comment text and name are visible to the public — your email address is never shown publicly.

Contact. If you email us, we’ll hold that correspondence in order to respond to you, and we won’t use it for anything else without asking first.

Chat widget. This site uses an AI chat assistant provided by our hosting provider, Hostinger. If you use it, what you type is processed by Hostinger’s systems to generate a reply. We don’t control what Hostinger does with that data beyond providing this feature — see Hostinger’s own privacy policy for details.

Hosting & security logs. Our hosting provider (Hostinger) automatically logs standard technical data (like IP addresses and browser type) as part of running and securing the site, as any web host does.

We do not currently run advertising or analytics tracking (such as Google Analytics) on this site. If that changes, we’ll update this policy and ask for your consent first, as UK law requires.

Cookies

This site uses only the cookies WordPress itself needs to work — for example, remembering your name and email if you tick that box when leaving a comment. We don’t use marketing or analytics cookies.

How long we keep data

Comments and their associated metadata are kept indefinitely, so that we can recognise follow-up comments automatically, unless you ask us to remove them.

Your rights

If you’re in the UK or EU, you have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have inaccurate data corrected, to ask us to delete it, and to object to how it’s used. Email hello@karmicrebelle.com and we’ll respond within a month. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled a request, you have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).

Children

This site isn’t directed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

We’ll update this page if what we do changes, and update the date at the top.
